Our Story

The Cutting Edge Hair Studio was established on November 11, 2011 at its previous location in Norwalk, California. The current owner, Mariloly, was a manager & stylist under the previous owner who had been located there for nearly 20 years as Hair Waves Salon. She had always dreamed of opening a hair studio, but never thought that it would be in the same place that she had started her career. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the doors at Norwalk had to close. Now she has opened her doors at a new single private studio in Downey.  The clients have always been the focus at The Cutting Edge Hair Studio and drive Mariloly to continually educate herself and improve the customer experience.  She loves seeing the smiles on her clients’ faces as they walk out with hair to envy.
